LCA in ISO 14040/44 provides a standard on the framework and methodology for environmental impact assessment, and at the same time provides flexibility in the method of calculating the impact. This flexibility needs to be standardized so that LCA studies can be easily verified and compared. With the growing awareness of the application of LCA in Indonesia, the existence of PCR has become important. PCR is a document that provides rules, requirements, and guidelines for developing LCA and EPD for certain product categories. PCR is an important part of ISO 14025 which enables transparency of comparable LCA results.
